The 37th Signature by Rusty Remakes. This is approximately 18 kg of American history. The hay trolleys dates back to the end of the 1800's and are true works of art, formerly used to getting hay bales up on the barn loft. Due to the weight, getting one of these magnificent pieces overseas becomes expensive no matter how you do it.
This particular piece came in good condition; with amazing patina and with the mid-section drop pulley still intact. The trolley is held up by matching rusty chains and hangs from another old industrial Swedish pulley.
It took a lot of time to find the right pieces to combine it with. I tried many different variations but most of the time, it felt like it became too much and that everything stole the spotlight from the trolley itself. Eventually, I found a pair of small industrial cogs from Israel. Very detailed and delicate and they come with the perfect color match.
This piece is named after Rita Haywood, a beautiful American dancer and actress born 1918, and one of the biggest female actresses in the 1940's. Stars deserve to shine!
